Why do you charge €6.99?
The fee filters out half-hearted listings, which means dealers know every submission is serious and bid competitively. And you pay nothing if nobody bids. You also get a free independent valuation report once your listing is live, so you have that either way. Unlike free valuation tools, we only win when you get results.
What's the independent valuation report?
Once your listing goes live, we send you an independent trade valuation for your exact car, based on its make, model, year, mileage and condition. You'll see how your reserve price compares, and you can adjust it any time before the auction closes.
How is this different from other valuation sites?
Most sites give you a computer estimate based on similar cars. CarSpot gets you real competing offers from real dealers who have seen your specific car, mileage, condition, photos and all, plus an independent valuation report for comparison. What if I don't like any of the offers?
No obligation, ever. You see each offer in full before making any decision. If none suit you, simply decline.
What if I get no offers?
If no dealer makes an offer within 7 days, you pay nothing. For card payments we only place a temporary hold at checkout and release it if no offers come in; if you paid another way, your €6.99 is refunded automatically. No questions asked.
What happens after I accept an offer?
The dealer will contact you directly to arrange inspection and finalise the purchase. CarSpot facilitates the introduction.
Do I need to be in a specific county?
No. CarSpot dealers are spread across Ireland and decide whether distance is a factor in their bid.
